Transport Planner- WREXHAM

Job Information

Job Title Transport Planner
Reports to Operations Manager
Hours Various shifts available both days, nights and weekends
Location Maxi Haulage Wrexham

Overview

To ensure the effective planning of Maxi Haulage vehicles for collections and deliveries are completed on time and in line with customer requirements whilst abiding to legal requirements

 Duties

  1.  To ensure the efficient and effective planning of the vehicles to meet the customer requirements
  2.  To communicate effectively with both customers, other staff members onsite and other Maxi Haulage depots
  3.  To adhere to Maxi Haulage Health and Safety standards always
  4.  To ensure any service and Mot requirements are planned into the vendors efficiently
  5.  To complete all the necessary customer and Maxi Haulage reports including KPIs and operational summaries
  6.  Promote the good name of Maxi Haulage by adopting a professional approach to all activities

Qualifications

Education
  • 4 GCSE’s or equivalent
Knowledge/Experience
  • 2 years of Transport planning experience
Skills

 

  • Confident in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • High organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time
Other
  • Full Driving Licence

Weekend Manager

Job Information

Job Title Weekend Manager
Reports to Site General Manager
Hours Friday:  11.00 -19.00

Saturday & Sunday:  06.00 – 18.00

Monday:  06.00 – 14.00

Location Maxi Haulage Warrington

Overview

To ensure that the Warrington depot operations are effectively and efficiently managed throughout the weekend in order to meet and exceed both the customers requirements and the standards required from Maxi Haulage.

 Duties

  1.  To ensure the efficient and effective planning of the operations onsite across the weekend
  2.  To ensure that the operations team are motivated and have the relevant skills and knowledge to be able to contribute effectively to the operation
  3.  To ensure that the required Health and Safety standards of the Warrington operation are maintained and adhered to by all
  4.  To complete all the necessary customer and Maxi Haulage reports including KPIs, operational summaries and financial analysis
  5.  To carry out weekend fleet inspections and be the first contact for breakdowns during the weekend
  6.  Promote the good name of Maxi Haulage by adopting a professional approach to all activities
  7.  Support the Site General Manager in delivering an environment of continuous improvement
  8.  Oversee the training, development and discipline of all personal employed within the Warrington weekend operation. Maintaining appropriate liaison with the company Hr Department.
  9.  In addition, ensure that the employee engagement concept is known with review meetings with the staff to ensure engagement

Qualifications

Education
  • 4 GCSE’s or equivalent
  • 2 A Levels or equivalent
Knowledge/Experience
  • 2 Years of a Supervisor / Management role
  • 5 years of Transport and warehouse experience
Skills

 

  • Confident in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to lead and motivate direct reports
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • High organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time
Other
  • Full Driving Licence
  • CPC qualification
  • IOSH qualification (Desirable)
